Ingredients
- 135g all-purpose flour
- 25g sugar
- 5g baking powder
- 2g fine salt
- 250ml milk
- 60g melted butter
- 1 large egg
- 5ml vanilla extract
Steps
- Preheat the waffle iron to a medium-high/high setting.
- Whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
- Whisk milk, egg, and vanilla in a medium bowl.
- Whisk melted butter into the milk mixture.
- Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir just until combined (a few lumps are fine).
- Lightly grease the hot waffle iron.
- Ladle in batter to nearly fill the iron without overflowing and cook until deep golden brown.
- Transfer waffles to a wire rack (not a plate) to keep them crisp; serve hot.
