Garlic Bread

Crispy, buttery bread with aromatic garlic and herbs, perfect as a side dish.
Ingredients
- 1 large French bread loaf
- 125g butter, softened
- 6 garlic cloves, minced
- 30g fresh parsley, chopped
- 50g Parmesan cheese, grated
- 3g salt
- 1g black pepper
Steps
- Preheat oven to 200°C
- Cut bread diagonally into 2cm thick slices
- Don't cut all the way through - leave bottom intact
- Mix softened butter with minced garlic
- Add parsley, Parmesan, salt, and pepper
- Stir until well combined
- Spread garlic butter mixture between bread slices
- Spread remaining mixture on top of loaf
- Wrap tightly in aluminum foil
- Bake 15 minutes
- Open foil and bake 5 minutes more until crispy
- Serve immediately while hot
Notes
For extra crispy bread, broil for 1-2 minutes at the end. Use day-old bread for best texture.
