Soft, fluffy dinner rolls with a golden crust, perfect for any meal.
Ingredients
- 400g all-purpose flour
- 7g active dry yeast
- 30g granulated sugar
- 8g salt
- 200ml warm milk
- 60g butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 30g butter, melted for brushing
Steps
- Dissolve yeast in warm milk with pinch of sugar
- Let stand 5 minutes until foamy
- Mix flour, remaining sugar, and salt in large bowl
- Add yeast mixture, melted butter, and egg
- Mix until soft dough forms
- Knead 6-8 minutes until smooth and elastic
- Place in buttered bowl and cover
- Let rise 1 hour until doubled
- Punch down dough and divide into 12 equal pieces
- Shape each piece into smooth ball
- Place in buttered 33x23cm baking dish
- Cover and let rise 45 minutes until touching
- Preheat oven to 190°C
- Brush tops with melted butter
- Bake 15-18 minutes until golden brown
- Brush with remaining butter while warm
- Serve warm
Notes
Rolls should be soft and pull apart easily. Store covered to maintain softness.
