Soft, fluffy sweet rolls swirled with cinnamon sugar and topped with cream cheese glaze.
Ingredients
- 500g all-purpose flour
- 7g active dry yeast
- 50g granulated sugar
- 8g salt
- 250ml warm milk
- 60g butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 100g brown sugar
- 15g ground cinnamon
- 60g butter, softened
- 200g cream cheese, softened
- 60g butter, softened
- 200g powdered sugar
- 60ml milk
- 5ml vanilla extract
Steps
- Dissolve yeast in warm milk with pinch of sugar
- Mix flour, sugar, and salt in large bowl
- Add yeast mixture, melted butter, and egg
- Knead 8 minutes until smooth and elastic
- Place in buttered bowl and cover
- Let rise 1.5 hours until doubled
- Mix brown sugar and cinnamon for filling
- Roll dough into 40x30cm rectangle
- Spread softened butter over dough
- Sprinkle cinnamon sugar evenly
- Roll up tightly from long side
- Cut into 12 equal pieces
- Place in buttered baking dish and cover
- Let rise 45 minutes until puffy
- Preheat oven to 180°C
- Bake 25-30 minutes until golden
- Beat cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla for glaze
- Spread glaze over warm rolls
Notes
Don't roll the dough too tightly or the filling will squeeze out. Serve warm for best texture.
