Creamy avocado dip with lime, cilantro, and just the right amount of heat.
Ingredients
- 4 ripe avocados
- 60ml fresh lime juice
- 1 small onion, diced fine
- 2 Roma tomatoes, seeded and diced
- 2 jalapeños, minced
- 30g cilantro, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 5g salt
- 2g ground cumin
- Tortilla chips for serving
Steps
- Cut avocados in half and remove pits
- Scoop flesh into large bowl
- Add lime juice immediately to prevent browning
- Mash avocados to desired consistency
- Fold in onion, tomatoes, and jalapeños
- Add cilantro, garlic, salt, and cumin
- Mix gently to combine
- Taste and adjust seasoning
- Let stand 15 minutes for flavors to meld
- Serve with tortilla chips
Notes
Choose avocados that yield slightly to pressure. Add more lime juice if storing for later.
