Seasoned ground beef tacos with fresh toppings and warm tortillas.
Ingredients
- 700g ground beef
- 12 taco shells or soft tortillas
- 1 onion, diced
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 15ml olive oil
- 15g chili powder
- 5g ground cumin
- 5g paprika
- 3g oregano
- 3g salt
- 1g cayenne pepper
- 125ml beef broth
- 200g lettuce, shredded
- 200g cheddar cheese, shredded
- 3 tomatoes, diced
- 250ml sour cream
- 1 avocado, sliced
- Lime wedges for serving
Steps
- Heat oil in large skillet over medium-high heat
- Add onion and cook until softened
- Add garlic and cook 30 seconds
- Add ground beef and cook until browned
- Drain excess fat from pan
- Add all spices and stir to combine
- Add beef broth and simmer 5 minutes
- Season with salt to taste
- Warm taco shells according to package directions
- Fill each shell with seasoned beef
- Top with lettuce, cheese, and tomatoes
- Add dollop of sour cream and avocado slice
- Serve with lime wedges
